Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks Pet Release Form At Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks, we want your pet’s grooming experience to be pleasant and as enjoyable as possible. We make every effort to make it a safe and positive experience. It is essential to understand that some pets respond to grooming differently, even with the best efforts. Sometimes unforeseen, pre-existing conditions arise in our groomers, such as skin allergies, shampoo allergies, moles, clipper sensitivity, matting and tangles, fleas, fear, behavioral issues, bone or joint sensitivity, heart condition, seizures, etc. It would be helpful if you, as the pet owner, let us know anything you are aware of before grooming. Fleas & Ticks: To prevent the transfer of fleas from one appointment to the next, our policy is to reschedule appointments immediately following a pet with fleas, to flea bomb the van and tools, and for the groomer to shower and change uniform. If you think your pet has fleas or ticks, please let us know before the service. Please note that parasites are a health hazard to your pet and humans. If fleas or ticks are found during the grooming process, your pet will be given a bath with flea shampoo, and you will be charged an additional fee of $50 plus tax. We also use natural and commercial, vet approved solutions and procedures to treat your pet for fleas and ticks. We do not use harsh chemicals. However, some animals may be sensitive to these solutions and procedures we use and may experience an allergic or other reaction that could be serious. Reset to sign again Matted Coats and Excessive Undercoats: Unmaintained coats cause various health problems for your pet. Fleas, ticks, and other parasites may be lurking in the coat, causing further skin infections. The skin underneath can be raw and inflamed. Severely matted coats will require a shave down. We are happy to show you how to care for your pet’s coat in the future; however, we cannot brush out a coat that is already severely matted due to the stress and the pain it will cause your pet. Your pet may be nicked or cut because we must work closely with the skin to remove the coat. We are cautious, but an injury may occur. Shaving a severely matted coat is a delicate process, and an additional fee will be charged. The rate is $40 per additional half-hour above a typical groom for similar-sized pet and services. Shaving a pet often exposes pre-existing skin conditions. If an animal is badly matted, you may find sores and tender skin under those mats. Many times, the skin is so sore that the clippers may cut the skin, especially while taking mats off a cat that has very thin skin. Reset to sign again Current Vaccinations: Aussie Pet Mobile & Texas state law requires your pet(s) to have current rabies vaccination for every pet groomed. Please confirm that your pet(s) are current on their rabies vaccination and that the rabies certificate is available for inspection. Aggressive or Dangerous Pets: Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks does not use any type of tranquilizer on any pet. Owners must inform us if your pet(s) bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. Muzzles will be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects the pet and the groomer. Aussie Pet Mobile has the right to refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before or during the grooming process that may be a threat to itself or any person. If we cannot take a cat out of its carrier or use a muzzle on a dog that may bite, we may have to refuse it for its protection and ours. The pet may get away or get injured if it is undergoing a great amount of stress. Company policy is that owners/caregivers are not allowed in the van without our consent. If you are in the van, Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks is not responsible for any injury you sustain that is or is not a result of our negligence. Reset to sign again Health or Medical Problems & Senior Pets: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful and expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury, the groomer’s first objective for these pets is cleanliness and comfort. Please let the groomer know of any health concerns your pet may have. Panting, Drooling, & Similar Signs of Stress: Should your dog or cat be over-stressed, we will stop the groom. You will be called out to the van to discuss what we are observing and determine if we should continue with you. Your pet’s well-being is our priority. Accidents: There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp. Even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur, including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. If an injury occurs to your pet during the groom, the groomer will take care of the injury according to our safety and accident policy. And in case of a serious injury, he/she will let you know right away. Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: Changes made to scheduled appointments (canceling or rescheduling) within 3 days of the appointment time will require a $50 payment for the appointment being changed. The fee will be charged if we arrive at your scheduled time and no one is home, or we aren’t able to get your pet into the van for grooming for any reason, including but not limited to pet illness, a pet is lost/stolen, work, or personal emergency. A $50 deposit on all future appointments scheduled will be required in all scenarios, which is non-refundable. Please CALL (713-635-9943) with any questions or concerns about this policy. To avoid being charged for unused reservations, we must be advised of cancellations before 5 pm the day prior, Monday through Saturday. This allows us to contact others on our waiting list. Gratuities are always appreciated but NEVER expected. A 15-20% tip is typical if a groomer exceeds your expectations. 100% of tips go to your groomer. Payment for groom services is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, credit, and debit cards. For your convenience and prior arrangement, you may put your credit card on file with us. Reset to sign again Hold Harmless Agreement: I hereby release Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks from any responsibility for accidents, parasites, medical problems, or other problems that may be uncovered while the grooming service is being performed. I hold Aussie Pet Mobile River Oaks harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet, either known or unknown. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all pets groomed.
